WORLD CUP BUSHFIRE RELIEF AUCTION

21 Feb 2020

Following the devastating bushfires that have caused unprecedented damage and loss through Australia this summer, the LOC have come together with various international gymnastics federations to raise funds to assist those in need.

It is believed that roughly 25.5 million acres have burned, 3,000 homes have been damaged or destroyed and more than 1 billion mammals, reptiles and birds are likely to have lost their lives.

The Australian community has rallied together to provide much needed food, water and financial support to those impacted around the country.

The Local Organising Committee will be auctioning a number of highly sought after signed pieces of memorabilia, with 100% of proceeds going directly to those communities in need.

Several international federations have kindly donated merchandise to support this important cause, those federations include: Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Netherlands and the United States of America.

To further assist those affected, Gymnastics Australia will donate $100 for every landing the gymnasts ‘stick’ during finals, this total figure also being matched by the State and territory organisations and MOPT.

Visit the Gymnastics World Cup eBay page to see which items are available.

All items will be auctioned through eBay, with bidding to cease at 2pm Friday 28th February.
